In diesem Sinne ist die Dogmatik jeder Religion, die bis zum \veltende sich in der Welt be haupten will, schlechthin unentbehrlich als Grundlage ihrer Religionspädagogik, als der stille Koeffizient aller Predigt und alles Unterrichts, der das Zusammenbestehen einer weltlichen Bildung mit der religiösen Wahrheit ermöglicht und die aus jeder solchen für die Religion erwachsenden Schwierigkeiten von vorne herein zu beseitigen sucht, damit diese ihr eigent liches Werk thun kann So notdürftig jene Regulirung auch immer gelingen mag, die Frage, ob und wie beides zusammen bestehen kann, ist die eigentliche Cardinalfrage der Dogmatik, soweit sie Dogmatik und nicht etwa Bekenntnis ist, und die jeweilige Beantwortung dieser Frage ist der Schlüssel zum Verständnis ihrer einzelnen grossen Ausgestaltungen.
