The report ofthe examining committee, for the Session which has just closed, was highly satisfactory, in regard to the fidelity with which the Professors of the Seminary had discharged their duties, and the pro gress which the students appeared to have made in their studies. The Directors, however, feel called upon, to state to the Synods, that, in a few instances, there seems to have been a great deficiency in the preliminary education of the students, and especially as regards the Greek language; and to suggest the propriety of submitting to the Presbyteries, the import ance of adopting some means of removing this evil.
