This was the most amazing book purchase of my life!! When I opened the package, in Washington, from Santiam Booksellers, of Gates, Oregon, it turned out to be the same actual book copy my parents had given away during downsizing, in Pasadena, California, about 40 years ago. As a ten year old boy (I'm now 66), I received this actual book copy as a gift from my parents. This book had guided me into aerospace as a career. My mother had written my name in this actual book about 56 years ago. The very same book copy has come back to me!! This is a great, life changing book, one of the best ever, about breaking the sound barrier. b-12
