She models taking the wisdom and lessons learned in life’s difficult circumstances to bring beauty from ashes and help others to do the same. She has accomplished this as a women’s ministry leader; in small groups and bible studies; speaking and training with caregivers, volunteers and bereaved persons; and now as speaker and author. She has a B.A. in Psychology, training on dementia, care-giving and bereavement. Karen is an avid reader, loves the beach, nature and travel, and enjoys her 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and one great- grandbaby.
