One of the many challenges a child has to deal with during divorce is the loss of a single permanent home. They become subjected to constant packing and moving between both parents throughout the normal week and holidays. Unfortunately, that's the way it is and will be for the longest time.

But we have to realise there are some special moments that can materialise out of this new lifestyle. The child bonds with each parent in different ways and they share specific experiences they can always look forward to. Having been through a divorce myself, I wanted to highlight the positives that may eventuate from this inevitable separation and I wanted to do so through loving words and beautiful illustrations.

A.S. Chung is the author of children's picture books about blended, divorced, multicultural and same-sex families. She has a great desire to preach positive messages and the importance of love and family. Her first book, A Brand New Day; is a story that deals with divorce and through gentle words and beautiful illustrations, helps families through this life challenge.
