About the Author:

Gordon Stewart was born in North Dakota the same year as the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the 163rd Army Band. After marrying in 1964 and moving to South Dakota, he worked in men’s clothing as his wife finished college at Dakota Wesleyan University. A year later the couple moved to Kalispell, where Gordon was employed for nearly 20 years as a state social worker, until cutbacks necessitated a change of career as a night auditor. Gordon was twice elected president of Flathead Wildlife Inc and served on their board of directors for 25 years. He also became president of the Montana Wildlife Federation in the late 1980s, representing the state at Federation conventions for four years. He loves to hunt, fish, engage in outdoor photography and write outdoor humor articles.
