From the Author:
The fear of not being able to live up to your expectations by delivering a great sequel to The Dragon Collector strangled my creativity for nearly a year. I struggled to sit down and write. I worried that the success of the first book was a fluke. I doubted I would be able to craft another intriguing, entertaining story. These fears, worries, and doubts delayed my progress and made me wonder if I would ever be able to finish this series I began with such excitement, hope, and passion. That's why this book took me more than a year longer to write than I originally anticipated. Then in June 2015, I took a trip to Kentucky to run a half marathon. I holed up in my hotel room for several days after the race, and that getaway gave me a chance to pray, think, and shake those dream-crushing thoughts out of my mind.I decided to relax, release the self-induced pressure, and just enjoy the process of writing. That's when writing became fun again, and I finally finished the story in February 2016 and published the Kindle version a month later. This story is filled with more dragons, more people, and more adventures, and I believe it turned out to be even better than the first book. I'm now working on book three. As long as I don't repeat my mental mistakes of the past, I hope to have the next book ready for you by the spring of 2017. But considering how badly I botched the deadline for this book, I'm not making any promises on deadlines for book three. :)
