About the Author:
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve lived in a world of literature, surrounded by books – and music. Books and records lined the walls of my parents’ house when I was growing up, and in between weekly trips to the library, I read like a fiend, writing the titles on a list, and checking them off when I’d finished. Also a movie enthusiast, I just love a good story. Reading, watching, researching or telling stories have always been some of my favorite activities. That and swimming in the ocean, listening to live music, playing my grand piano... and singing.Caitlin at SBWC Oh, and of course, signing books. My latest book is I’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU, the story behind the murder of multimillionaire entrepreneur Bill McLaughlin of Newport Beach, California, by his femme fatale fiancee, Nanette Johnston Packard, and her NFL-linebacker lover Eric Naposki. Since then I’ve written or co-authored seven more narrative non-fiction books. It took me 17 years to release the first book I ever wrote – the crime novel, NAKED ADDICTION – and after many ups and downs with its original publisher, the book will be re-released here through WildBlue Press on November 11, 2014. I’ve been a professional writer for most of my life. I worked as an investigative reporter for newspapers for nearly 20 years, in Washington D.C., western Massachusetts, and then in Southern California, where I grew up. After covering government, politics, mental illness and the occasional crime story (it was always interesting when those beats overlapped), I left newspapers in 2006 to take a leap into the wild blue world of risk and reward to pursue my dream of writing books full-time. At any given time, I’m usually working on two or three books, in between teaching and coaching aspiring writers to write their stories
