About the Author:

Libby James has an abiding interest in the joys and benefits of physical activity which she expresses through running and biking. She holds national and world age-group running records in several distances, and is a member of the Colorado Running Hall of Fame. But most important to her are the everyday pleasures of moving her body, being outdoors and sharing her favorite sports with friends and family. She has four children and twelve grandchildren, most of whom like to run. Some of her favorite times on the road have occurred with members of her family. She actually likes it when kids and grandkids beat her, but she’s working hard to stay ahead of them for as long as possible! Unlike her children, she has absolutely no skill with a Frisbee, but she enjoys watching them in action. She has been writing since high school and has worked as a regional magazine editor, freelance writer, and more recently as a general reporter for a weekly newspaper in Northern Colorado. She holds a B.A. in English from Ohio Wesleyan University and an M. A. in American Literature from Colorado State University. Frisbee Dreams is her third book for young people. Muffin Magic, a picture book for four-to-eight-year-olds came out in 2011, and Running Mates, middle-grade fiction, was published 2014. These three books are available in paperback from Amazon.
