Deadly solar flares ravage earth life when the sun expands. Billions die as deadly heat sweeps the planet. The surviving humans build seven exo-solar spaceships to escape the devastation. The ships each carry two million frozen embryos and seeds to re-establish earth-like environments on planets that orbit more stable stars. 150 humans and mechanicals crew each ship. This is the story of the final ship. It leaves orbit for a destination 50 light-years away. The vessel is Ark VII. We believe that life already exists on the planet, Strawn 1120A. The type or abundance of life is unclear. Will the planet be suitable for earthmen to colonize?
