Review:
The adoption of health information systems is a well-documented challenge. Despite its prevalence in our industry, there is an absence of viable solutions. Thankfully, this book provides an effective prescription, one that eliminates the headache and uncertainty of adoption and provides a roadmap to engage in this critical work. Based on real-life examples and research, this is a must-read for every healthcare leader striving to optimize their systems for improved outcomes. --Gene Thomas, CIO, Memorial Hospital at Gulfport
We were big fans of the first edition of Beyond Implementation, and saw many of the lessons espoused in it through our own series of implementations. As clinicians we speak in the language of clinical vignettes, which are essentially stories that are meant to teach future generations. This book takes a similar approach and essentially provides a playbook for success, grounded in the hard-won knowledge of innumerable prior implementations. --Dr. Arun Mathews, Inpatient CMO / CMIO, Medical Center Health System
The valuable methodology in Beyond Implementation transforms an implementation plan from an arduous budget busting marathon to an energized and enthusiastic sprint toward product mastery and workflow integration. This book details a vendor and product-agnostic model that works for organizations of all sizes and delivers not just initial compliance but sustained adoption, leading to greater staff and provider productivity at lower costs. --Jack T. Grandey, Healthcare IT Strategic Consultant, TriVectors Healthcare Consulting
