From the Inside Flap:
Andrew’s Wish is a charming and inspiring story for all who delight in the magic and mystery of Christmas.Written in a style reminiscent of Dr. Seuss, it is the tale of one very remarkable reindeer named Andrew, whose devotion and courage lead him on an unforgettable adventure, that changes his life forever. You’ll never find a more loveable hero than Andrew, or a more wonderful opportunity to believe in miracles. Open your heart, as you open the pages of this book, and enter into a magical world that is made visible through the magnificent illustrations of Gary Lund, where reindeer sleep in heated waterbeds and Elven Kings grant wishes.Jason M. Leen has loved poetry since he was a child. One morning a story poem followed him from a dream. Jason quickly captured the poem on paper, then added a small drawing of the main character, a young reindeer named Andrew. Andrew then slept in a wooden cabinet for more than two years, waiting for just the right moment when he could tell his story to the world. Jason feels that moment has arrived, and that Andrew is destined to touch our hearts in a very special way as he fulfills his wish.Jan Klyce, President of J & J Publishing, realized in an early review of this book, that the story of Andrew’s journey was incomplete. With Jason’s understanding and appreciation, she then began to collaborate by adding essential passages throughout, allowing Andrew to tell his full story in a truly delightful manner. Jan’s attention to nourishing the heart has been accompanied by a twenty year background in both production and management of fine art, which, assisted her in every aspect and detail of the book layout and design.Gary Lund began drawing at the age of seven. During his forty-six year art career, Gary has received an Emmy Award and Academy nomination for art design in films, which, include The Point (Harry Nilsson), and The Legend of John Henry. He has also received awards for his illustrative work in magazines, non-fiction and children’s books. His wonderful blend of artistic genius and sensitivity to capture the essence of every emotion made Gary the perfect choice for Andrew’s Wish. Gary now resides in New Mexico with his wife Susan and their three cats, and is currently making short animated films.
About the Author:
Jason M. Leen Bio Born in Virginia in 1950, Jason is an internationally respected author whose personal abilities and pursuits have contributed to a most unusual literary career. Gifted from the age of five with a rare form of clairaudience, Jason has spent the last forty years exploring the universe through the sometimes life altering perspective of his unique ability. Beginning with The Death of The Prophet, first published in 1979, which has been called ‘the authentic conclusion of Gibran’s masterpiece, The Prophet’, Jason opened the door to a new literary landscape, where the reader is often transformed by the transcendence of the text. This was followed ten years later in 1989 with Peace At Last: The after death experiences of John Lennon, translated globally in seven languages and considered by many to be a cult classic, pioneering the concept of non-physical consciousness and the reality of after death communication. With the publication of Andrew’s Wish in the winter of 2009, Jason reveals a very different layer of his literary skills. Here he invites the children of the world to share a story that was born out of two hearts, as he collaborates with Jan Klyce, in creating a new Christmas hero who will be standing next to Rudolph for many generations to come.
