About the Author:
A Certified Gemologist and Registered Jeweler with the American Gem Society for many years, Frederick Fisher and his late wife, Eileen, shared a passion for travel and "treasure-hunting" fine jewelry, oriental art and antiques. Until a few years ago, Fred and Eileen spent six months each year in Southeast Asia. Fred first began writing when he was an apprentice seaman in the U.S. Navy. He has written numerous articles for various magazines and newspapers and has several published books including China Adventures, Love and Marriage, and Serendipity. Confucius Jade was previously published in Singapore by Times International and is based on many years of extensive travel and encounters with the people in mainland China, east Asia and the Pacific Rim. Fred lives in Sonoita, Arizona and still travels whenever he can.
