About the Author:

Judith Tate O’Brien is the author of three collections of poetry: Mythic Places; By the Grace of Ghosts, co-authored with Jane Taylor; and Everything That Is Is Connected. She has taught in Oklahoma more than 20 years. and is a retired Marriage and Family Therapist. She was a Benedictine Sister almost two decades in a monastery close to Guthrie, Oklahoma. She and Gene, her husband of 30 years, live in Oklahoma City. About the memoir, she says: “By definition it’s based on memory and memory is always selective. My sister might remember our childhood a little differently and another Sister might remember the convent differently; each event evokes an individual emotional response. This memoir is a strictly honest account of my recollection of events and my emotional responses to them.”
