About the Author:
Charlie Goetz is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He teaches teaches MBAs, BBAs, Executives and PhD students. He is a recent recipient of the Distinguished Lecturer Award and the Most Inspiring Professor Award for 2008, 2009, and 2010 in the Executive MBA Program.

Prior to his entry into academia, Charlie was responsible for starting and building nine businesses, employing more than 1,500 employees, in six different industries, and delivering returns to investors in many cases far exceeding initial investment expectations. He has been awarded multiple patents and numerous copyrights. He presently serves on both private business and non-profit boards.

Charlie is responsible for the development of Marketnomics, a mathematical tool used to quantify perceived customer value, resulting in products that offer substantially greater value and as such, higher demand.

Michael Axelrod is a frequent guest lecturer at the Goizueta Business School. He works closely with Charlie as an active investor and advisor to their entrepreneurial investments.

Michael made the leap to the business world after practicing law for 22 years. His practice focused on health care and venture capital and clients ranged from startups to public companies. Michael was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pediatric Services of America, Inc. (a NASDAQ company recently taken private). He has pursued his passion for child protection by serving as the Chairman of the Board of Prevent Child Abuse America, Inc. and on other non-profit boards.
