Don Dickinson's China Legacy is an action packed adventure immersed in history, which takes its readers not only through China, Burma and Thailand, but also into the world of aviation. Through the eyes of mercenary pilot, James Williamson and the young Chinese girl he rescues, the reader will unravel a mystery and fly with some of the men who conquered the infamous Hump . Conducting an oral history program at the Evergreen Aviation Museum, I meet US veterans every week, and China Legacy brings to life stories I've heard firsthand from those who were actually there. --Katherine Huit, Director of Collections, Evergreen Aviation Museum, Home of the Spruce Goose.
China Legacy takes you on an exciting ride over and through China, Burma, and Thailand, from the latter days of World War Two through the fall of Chiang Kai Shek's Nationalist China. The tough mercenary pilot and the war-hardened, young Chinese girl, truly represent an era. Aviation related sequences are obviously written by a pilot, and gritty locations by someone who's lived in the Orient. A great read. --Mike Plowman, Retired airline pilot and veteran of thousnds of hours flying DC-3s in Asia.
