About the Author:
Helen L. Edwards has been an elementary school counselor for over a decade. She is president of the Washington Association of Multi-Cultural Counseling and Development(WAMCD) which is a division of the Washington Counseling Association (WCA) and a member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). In addition Ms. Edwards is a Cross-Cultural Competency Trainer for the Washington Education Association (WEA). The focus of her trainings and workshops is to facilitate ways to effectively promote cross-cultural communication and understanding of diversity for educators, administrators, and human resource personnel.As an authour it is essential to Ms. Edwards that all children see themselves reflected in her books. She enjoys writing children's stories that are relevant, entertaining, educational, interactive, and empowering to children.
