About the Author:
Born July 30, 1920 in the San Antone Valley of California's Coastal Range, Phil Stadtler made his home in the heart of California's cattle country, Hilmar. His career as the preeminent cattle trader of his time spanned nearly seventy years and three continents. He met with presidents and kings, and cattle ranchers of all description to keep business flourishing even in the hard times. Phil Stadtler died on March 10, 2011, and more than 1,200 friends and family attended his memorial service.
