Here is the ultimate guide for parents, professionals and graduate students on how to identify specific goals and skills for teaching children with autism spectrum disorders!

With over 70 years of collective experience working with children diagnosed with ASD, the authors present a family focused model that places emphasis on the needs of both the child and of the family as a whole. Improving a child’s skills and emotional functioning has a direct, positive impact on family functioning. By identifying family stressors and using them as a starting point for child-centered goals, parents can achieve the best outcome for both the child and the family.

With the two-fold goal of teaching children with autism new and adaptive behaviors, and simultaneously reducing family stress, this is an invaluable resource and an innovative teaching tool.
