About the Author:

The Rev. Jospeh Acton was ordained as an Episcopal priest in 1989. He is the pastor of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in San Diego, CA. he is also an experienced retreat leader and spiritual director and warden for Region VII of the Order of St. Luke, an international healing mission. Fr. Acton received his Master of Divinity from General Theological Seminar in New York.

Mary K. Curran-Downey is a columnist for The San Diego Union-Tribune. She is also an experienced public speaker and workshop leader, teaching classes in spiritual journaling. She received her journalism degree from Marquette University. She lives in San Diego with her husband and two sons.
