About the Author:

Hansueli Schlunegger, born and raised in Switzerland, always dreamed of becoming a master chef, catering to the in crowds and upper crust of society. After completing his culinary education, his early career let him to some of the great European cities, including Basel, Zurich, Geneva, St. Moritz, Oslo, and Stockholm. In 1959, he moved his young family to the United States and became a Chef de Partie at the Western International Olympic Hotel in Seattle. They eventually relocated to Houston, where, at the Rice Hotel, Hans directed the dinner preparation for President and Mrs. Kennedy on November 21, 1963. Hans later became Executive Chef at Houston's renowned international hotel, The Warwick, which catered to the rich and famous.

Hans and his wife, Annemarie, began their entrepreneurial career in the Texas Hill Country in 1969, bying several hotels, including the plush Inn of the Hills in Kerrville, Texas, where they enjoy entertaining and hosting people from all over the world.
