The illustrator captures a lifetime of ardent sentiment and weaves it through the story with a true representation of a child’s evolving style of artwork. A baby’s footprints are presented as the child’s first "work of art." The child’s art then progresses through childhood until the drawings are that of a young adult woman. On the mother’s side of the story, we are treated to the magnificent, moving illustrations of a skilled artisan.

Together, pictures and text provide a loving portrait of the never-ending connection between mother and daughter. Colored pencil, crayon, ink, collage, and markers are used to perfection.

Liz McGrath did not use computer assistance for her illustration techniques in Even More / Todav'a más. She draws by freehand only, using markers for a base. She then applies colored pencil over this base for her remarkable detail and texture.
