To Live or Die in Arizona won a first place award in the National Federation of Press Women's Communication Contest.

About the Author:
Elizabeth Bruening Lewis, Ph.D., has brought a variety of interests and experiences into her writing. She has been a press woman since 1964, earned her doctorate in medieval history from Georgetown University, taught logic at Phoenix College, and humanities at Arizona State University. She has served on environmental boards such as the Arizona Chapter of the Nature Conservancy. She became intrigued with Arizona history at an early date. Elizabeth and her husband have spent many happy days hiking the mountains and canyons of their beloved state. They have a grown son and daughter, five grandchildren, and a beloved Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
