About the Author:

Susie Isaacs is best known for being the first woman to win the World Series of Poker ladies championship back-to-back in 1996 and 1997. In 1998, she placed 10th in the World Series of Poker $10,000 event vying for the one million dollar first prize. Isaacs became the second woman in history to accomplish such an outstanding finish. She is a professional tournament poker player who has won various titles and placed in the money numerous times over the past 15 years, including winning the first Queen of Queens tournament at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, winning the Best-All-Round award at the Ladies Crystal Open in Reno, and winning a first place at the Orleans Open in Las Vegas. Isaacs recently was voted in to play on the Pro Poker Tour of the World Poker Tour. In addition to her career as a professional poker player, Isaacs has had a regular column and has written feature stories for Casino Journal, Strictly Slots, Poker Digest, Poker Player newspaper and Card Player magazines. Currently she freelances poker-related columns to Top Pair magazine and Poker Life magazine. She is a regular columnist for, Woman Poker Player magazine and the American Poker Player magazine where her popular column Chip Chatter is featured. In 1999 Isaacs had her first book published. Entitled MsPoker: Up Close and Personal. She now has three new books recently released, MsPoker: I'm Not Bluffing, a two-book series. Book One is not a conventional poker book. It is all about the human side of poker and includes her autobiography and the story of how she got from the Bible Belt where she was completely content as a conservative wife and mother to the bright lights of Las Vegas where she found herself, in midlife, single and responsible for herself for the first time in her life. At this point, she discovered the poker world. Book Two concentrates on the correct way to play competitive poker (poker tournaments). The third book is titled 1000 Best Poker Strategies and Secrets (Sourcebooks), which was released nationally in May of 2006. This is an easy to use and understand poker how to book using poker stories and 1000 tips to explain a variety of poker games.
