Terri Johnson, the third daughter of four, was born in 1961, from the union of Judy Stephens and Matthew Smith Johnson, in Washington, DC. Terri's strong Christian background was instilled in her where she was taught from her youth at the then Temple Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of the late Bishop Samuel Kelsey. Terri is now a member of Living Word Christian Center At the Capital, under the leadership of Dr. David H. Brown.

After more than 30 years of friendship, Terri Johnson and Tim Linzy married in September 1997. Looking forward to a life of matrimony, both Terri and Tim were devastated when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Just ten months, three weeks later, Terri faced life as a widow.

Refusing to become wrapped up in her loss, Terri, instead meditated on the awesome love, mercy and faithfulness the Lord showed both of them throughout her husband's illness, which brought her through the most trying time of her life. It was during this time, the Lord ministered to her and revealed to her on a higher level His awesome, Unspeakable love which birthed, "I Understand that I Don't Understand!"
