About the Author:

Chuck Dean has worked with thousands of soldiers and veterans regarding their transitional challenges caused by wartime service. He is the author of several books on recovery issues, such as bestselling Down Range: To Iraq and Back. Chuck was one of the first 300 paratroopers deployed to S.E. Asia in 1965 in the U.S. escalation of the Vietnam War, and upon his return served as a Drill Instructor at Ft. Ord, California. In 2008 he was honored as a recipient of the prestigious Didi Hirsch Foundation "Erasing the Stigma Leadership Award". Currently he resides with his wife, Jingwen, in both the United States and China.
