Laid-in between pages 106-107 is slender sheet with short nine-line ink note to past owner (Ambassador Ralph Earle II) with scrawled illegible signature from an apparent fellow BSI member and retained for that association. Inscribed, signed and dated by Lellenberg on the title page, "For Rex Pinson- Drink a bottle of your very best wine when you read this-- so my prose will seem to improve-- Very best irregular wishes, Jon Lellenberg, January 13, 1996". Pinson was a noted BSI, invested into the group. as Inspector G. Lestrade at the 1973 dinner. Laid in is a four page stock list from Gasogene Books who carried a large selection of Sherlock Holmes books and pastiches. A gorgeous collectable copy of a scarce item and a great association.
