About the Author:
A professor of film at Ball State University and associate media editor of USA Today Magazine, Gehring is the author of sixteen critically acclaimed books, including biographies of Charlie Chaplin, W.C. Fields, the Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy and Red Skelton. His columns have appeared in numerous journals and for seventeen years he authored the humor column, Comedy Corner for the Muncie Star.
