Author Gayle Moxley Pyle was born in Grassvalley, California and was raised on Donner Summit until she was school age. Her parents moved to Sacramento, California where she attended grade school and graduated high school. She is college educated, attending Chico State University and the University of Nevada Reno. Her major was education and later changed to Literature. She says of herself, "I was told, by one of my professor's early on that I had both feet firmly planted in mid-air." Ms. Pyle has been published locally, regionally and nationally. She has authored two books and is writing a third at this time. She has been referred to by writer, screenwriter, and educator, Gil Ralston as, "The Erma Bombeck of the sagebrush."
