About the Author:
Matthew S. Kaplan, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Hawaii Pacific University. He holds a doctorate in Environmental Psychology from the Graduate School and University Center at the City University of New York. He is the recipeint of a 1994-95 Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research on the emergence of the intergenerational movement in Japan.
