From the Author:
Like most poets I live in a daydream, nourished by reading history and literature. I also trigger imagination through contact with material objects such as diaries, old photographs and letters, particularly a thousand letters from 1845 through 1888, correspondence among my New England ancestors and their contemporaries. This poetry collection has more to do with the spacs that held these letters than the letters themselves. (excerpt)
About the Author:
Carolyn Page June, 1995 Page
Carolyn Page is a native of Rochester, NH. After a career of teaching high school and college and after spending several years in the south--Florida and North Carolina--she returned home to New England and now lives on a farm in Maine. She edits Potato Eyes literary arts journal and is the Director of the Potato Eyes Foundation which promotes poetry and the arts in rural high schools.
