From Library Journal:
This is a big, crazy, tasty book. As editor Codrescu points out in his introduction, the middle-class poet-professor who edits his school's literary magazine is deliberately excluded; instead, like its predecessor ( LJ 11/1/87), from which it differs mainly by the inclusion of half a dozen new poets, the second edition of this rich, satisfying anthology emphasizes work that is erotic, feminist, Zen, surreal, and urban/gritty. Many of the poems seem unfinished in the conventional sense, but virtually all of them are provocative in a way that seems designed to pull out the myths that are alive in each of us, even the profs. Recommended.
