There is a growing interest in the Feasts given in Scripture to be celebrated by Israel. Among many church leaders and theologians, there is a feeling that the Feasts are more meaningful to Church than traditional religious holidays and symbols which have been influenced by or, in some cases, have grown out of Ancient Babylonian religions which Scripture cites as the fount of all false religious teachings. It should also be noted that, since our biblical authority is held in common with the Jews, one cannot fully understand the Scriptures, given by God through the Jews, without seeking a common approach to exegetical, biblical interpretation as practiced by Jesus and the writers of the Bible. We must have a grammatical, cultural, historical approach tied to the first century.
