Throughout the Clinton administration we have been bombarded with scandalous reports of adultery and infidelity, yet it never fails that in Monday morning's newspaper, we almost always see a picture of the President and his wife walking out of church, Bible in hand.

The secular population may find this endearing and say, "He goes to church; he can't be that bad," while the conservative Christians cry, "Hypocrite!"

In light of these shameful trysts, we seem to be on the receiving end of a double message. On one hand, Bill Clinton obviously goes to church. On the other, Bill Clinton has also come dangerously close to losing his job while disgracing the White House and the American people with his sexual liaisons.

There has to be more to this story than what we have heard and seen thus far. We can't label Bill Clinton as a hopeless case because none of us are. His sexual misbehavior is only symptomatic of a much greater problem. Moody Adams has done an effective job in uncovering and exposing the root of Clinton's problem: Sin!

In addition, Adams has done a tremendous amount of research, presenting the facts in black and white, while leaving out any presuppositions he may have about Clinton.

This work is not a defense of Bill Clinton's actions. There is a message of greater importance screaming from these pages!

Bill Clinton, along with everybody else who sits under the preaching of the Word of God has a major responsibility to compare the fallible "spoken word" with that of the infallible "written Word" and conform his behavior to it.

If Bill Clinton is attending church on Sunday, yet living a double life, what exactly is being preached from that pulpit? In this ground-breaking book, How the Clinton Clergy Corrupted a President, Moody Adams documents many direct quotes from the "men of God" whom Clinton has allowed to mold his thinking.

What is being preached in our churches today? What messages are being conveyed to saved and unsaved alike? Do these messages line up with what the Bible teaches? Are we, as Christians examining what we hear, see, and read in light of what the Bible says?

You will find the answers to these and many other questions in this sobering account of the condition of today's clergy and how they corrupted a president.

From the Inside Flap:
This book is not written to defend President Clinton, nor to condemn him. Plenty of writings have done both. The purpose of this book, rather, is to draw something positive out of a very negative chapter in American history; to pipoint the cause and cure for moral failure.

Throughout 40 years of speaking in over 3,000 church meetings, I have come to know ministers well. Many of them are dedicated men of God devoted to helping people by teaching them the truths of the Bible. But some are deceitful men, interested in subverting the gospel and deceiving their listeners. This fact should not surprise anyone familiar with the Bible. Jesus Christ answered His disciples' request for signs of His return with this admonition: "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many...many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many...there shall arise false christs, and false prophets...insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect" (Matthew 24:4,5,11,24). Note the emphasis on and repetition of the concept of deceipt. This is where the President of the United States fits into Bible prophecy. He is a sad product of false, deceitful prophets.

I do not share the pessimism of those who accept defeat by lust and lying as being inevitable and inescapable. This book is written with the confidence that the true gospel of Jesus Christ can lift a person to victory over evil.

I do not possess the nonchalant indifference of those who say, "It doesn't matter. So what if a man commits adultery and lies about it? As long as he continues to do his job well, that is all that matters." Job performance is important. But a key part of a president's job is to set an example to the millions of children who see him as the most admired man in the world.

Nor do I have the despair that cries, "American morals are gone and there is nothing to be done about it. From the president on down, society is dishonest and corrupt. We can't change it." This book is written with the conviction that there is a way for our nation to be reformed. Both history and the Bible teaches us that people can be delivered from their passions and a nation rescued from moral decay.

I am not in that group which expects Washington D.C. to stop abortion, pornography, drug abuse and family breakups. Those who do are doomed to extreme disillusionment, as well they should be. Moral reformation must begin in the churches, specifically the pulpits--not in government. Spiritual decay brought about the nation's moral decay and only a spiritual revival will bring about her healing.

Bill Clinton, a product of corrupt Christianity, exposes what kind of moral character is produced by decepetive, manipulative ministers. He illustrates how desperately the church needs repentance and revival.

"That the opinion polls reveal an unconcern about behavior that once was more widely considered immoral and unjustifiable is a lesson that our current 'unrighteousness' problem is not and never has been the fault of President Clinton, but is our fault," says columnist Cal Thomas. "Our lack of concern has produced leaders and a culture that turn a cold shoulder to such things."

About the Author:
Moody Adams was born in rural Louisiana. He went to work for A&P Grocery Stores at the age of 14, married at the age of 16, and was made assistant manager of an A&P at the age of 19.

At the age of 20, his wife Betty persuaded him to attend an evangelistic crusade where he heard his first sermon on being "born again." That night he received Christ. The next morning he rounded up the store employees before work and preached his first sermon. Shortly after, he started preaching in homes and outside saloons.

In 1958, Moody launched an evangelistic ministry that has enabled him to preach to 8 million people in person, and has seen over 300,000 decisions for Christ. He has appeared on the platform with Paul Harvey, Vice President Al Gore, Coach Bobby Bowden, Ollie North and Dale Evans.

Being "detained" in Cuba by Castro, and police in Macedonia, debating atheists on television, and preaching in Red Square in 1976, resulted in the Miami Herald labeling him America's "Frontline Evangelist."

Moody is the author of five books:

The Titanic's Last Hero Farrakhan, Islam and the Religion that is Raping America How the Clinton Clergy Corrupted a President Discover Your Treasures The Phantom's Dark Force

Moody's books have sold over 300,000 copies. Over 7,000 churches currently use Moody's video series. He is the editor of Winning magazine.
