Synopsis

Docks and Destinations is a complete listing of information and details about docks and marinas in the Pacific Northwest, from Olympia in the south to Prince Rupert in the north. It also includes all facilities on the west coast of Vancouver Island. It is arranged in a south to north progression on the inside passage and north to south on the outside of the island. It includes GPS coordinates, fuel stops, marine services, adjacent shops and restaurants and nearby golf course information. The book is extensively filled with full color aerial and local photographs and diagrams showing dock layouts, waterways and locations of facilities. It is a handy sized pocket book and is updated and reprinted every two to three years.

About the Author:

Peter Vassilopoulos has been writing for Pacific Yachting Magazine since 1974. For 12 years he produced a power boating column called Power Pitch. His many published articles included local cruising trips and destinations.
Based on extensive coastal cruising over the past 38 years he has produced several cruising guides including Docks and Destinations, Anchorages and Marine Parks, The Gulf Islands Cruising Guide, Cruising to Desolation Sound and the Broughton Islands Cruising Guide.
He also authored a coffee-table art book Mariner-Artist John M Horton. He produced a popular  book in the 1980s called Antiques Afloat, featuring classic yachts of a golden era.
Vassilopoulos is the founder and former publisher and editor of Canada's Diver Magazine. he was formerly involved in radio and television news editing and broadcasting in South Africa and Zimbabwe. He was born in Cape Town, South Africa.
