About the Author:

Buzz Belknap, mastermind behind the Westwater Books River Guide series, was introduced to river running by his dad, Bill Belknap, well-known photographer and river expert. Buzz combined his love of the Canyons with his graphic art skills to design and produce his first Guide in 1969 on the Grand Canyon.
Buzz's sister, Loie Belknap Evans, co-author of the River Guides, was a licensed river guide, who played a key role in leading river trips for Fastwater Expeditions, a family-owned river business featuring full participation trips in individually rowed sportyaks.

Together Buzz and Loie have produced four River Guides on the Green and Colorado rivers: Dinosaur, Desolation, Canyonlands, and Grand Canyon. The books are regularly revised and updated.
