About the Author:

Author and journalist Rosa Wilder Lane(1886-1968) born to a poor family in the Dakota Territory made her prominence as a newspaper reporter in San Francisco area and other cities and as a publicist for the American Red Cross during World War I. Ms Lane and her mother Laura Ingalls Wilder, in partnership, captured the American public attention over the course of more than twelve years by their nine classic volumes " Little House on the Prairie" series about life in frontier America.
