From the Back Cover:
Richard Gwynn called him "The Arab of potash." The Toronto Star called him "the best premier in the country." Weekend Magazine claimed that "only Saskatchewan's Allan Blakeney can match wits with Pierre Trudeau." To the eastern press he was "cool and capable," "dogged," and "utterly indefatigable." In Saskatchewan he was, like Tommy Douglas before him, "Tested and Trusted" -- until his humiliating defeat at the hands of Grant Devine's Tories in 1982.
