"As I Write This Letter" is one of kind. It is a collection of fan essays and letters, accompanied by fan artwork, and the running commentary of author, Marc A. Catone. All of the thoughts, dreams, and desires contained in its pages were gathered prior to the devastating generational loss of John Lennon.

The letters are from that group of 1st and 2nd generation Beatles fans who still thought it possible that The Beatles would still get back together. Their spirits are high. Their words are untainted by misfortune and grief yet to come.

Written less than 10 years after the break-up of the greatest band in history, the letters and essays explain how The Beatles affected young lives, influenced careers, affected love lives, and guided the Sixties Generation in America into activism and leadership.

Sit back, open the pages, and remember...or discover it all for the first time.

"Beatlemania is a joyful affliction. I first became exposed to it in 1964 when I was thirteen years old. since I had no built-in prejudices or immunities, the early stages of the fever set in quickly without anything to prevent its movement, and spread, unshackled, to the very fiber of my soul. Beatlemania affects the spirit. Once it makes its way to your heart, there is no return...it blossoms and grows. It fills me with euphoria when I'm sad, hope when all I see about me is despair, and an appreciation of peace among all peoples of the world when I'm lost in the everyday cycle of the material. Beatlemania makes me high."
