About the Author:
Charles Nobles met Princess Diana in person while on a trip to London in 1992. Even though it was a brief encounter, it was one of the most memorable experiences of his life. He had begun his collection of Diana memorabilia following the Royal Wedding in 1981. The first item in the collection, a commemorative book about the wedding, was a gift from his mother. Seventeen years later his collection of 2,500 pieces includes items from around the world.
Mr. Nobles and his collection have been in the media numerous times. He was interviewed for USA Today and articles about him appeared on the AP Wire service. He was featured on the FX series "Personal FX, The Collectibles Show" as a super collector. He was one of the few chosen to attend the Christies' "Auction of Dresses from the collection of Diana, Princess of Wales."
Mr. Nobles lives in Myrtle Beach, SC, and continues to increase his collection. He plans to donate a portion of the proceeds from this book to Careteam, a local AIDS support organization. He can be contacted at diwatchr@sccoast.net.
