The annotated works in Labor Arbitration: An Annotated Bibliography have been drawn from books, monographs, analytical articles in professional and academic journals, and the proceedings of the meetings of academic and professional societies. Grievance mediation and fact finding were included because of their close relationship to arbitration. The editors have chosen to focus on the United States and Canada and to exclude material written in languages other than English. Because the development of labor arbitration has been influenced so profoundly by court decisions, the editors introduce the bibliography with a chapter summarizing the principal court cases. That is followed by a section containing annotations of 154 books and monographs, and a final section (by far the largest) noting almost 1,200 articles. In addition to serving arbitrators, Labor Arbitration provides people who are contemplating a career in arbitration with a guide to the literature in the field and offers students a starting point for research. As the most comprehensive bibliography of its kind, it is a necessary reference source for libraries, business schools, law schools, and related professional institutions. -- Midwest Book Review
