From School Library Journal:
Grade 3-5-- A large book of bright, full-color photographs, inviting party-givers to make beautiful food and decorations for any special occasion. Step-by-step pictures instruct readers in the making of invitations, drinks, fancy straws, dips, masks, sandwiches, cakes and cookies, party hats, and room decorations. Unfortunately, the layout is cluttered and sometimes confusing: for instance, there are five "party cocktails" based on two basic milkshake or fruit punch recipes on the preceding pages, so it is necessary to flip back and forth to make sure the correct recipe is being followed. Otherwise, the book is good. The ideas can be used for parties of any theme, the food is made from scratch with mostly nutritious ingredients, and the end results can be accomplished with minimal help from adults. --Carolyn Jenks, Oyster River Elementary School, Durham, NH
