About the Author:

Cindy Massanari Breeze has worked with children and youth for her entire adult life, first as a public school music teacher, and later as an Associate Pastor. One of her greatest joys in ministry was teaching the high school Sunday School class at First Mennonite Church in Urbana, Illinois for seventeen years. Youth often asked for a suggestion of a devotional book to help guide their faith journey, especially following baptism, and after several years of such requests, she began to dream of writing just such a book. Before retiring from ministry in 2010, she asked the youth in her Sunday School class, "If your parents made you buy a devotional book with your own money, what topics would you like to see covered in that book?" The teens suggested over 50 topics, most of which are addressed in this book.

Having lived her entire life in central Illinois, Cindy graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois with a degree in music education and later earned a Certificate of Theological Studies from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary. As a retired pastor, she is now known primarily as Grandma Cindy to her six grandchildren. She is currently a Hospice Volunteer and enjoys spending time with her husband at their cabin in the woods, reading, knitting, and being with teenagers. Cindy has written and directed four full-length children/youth musicals. She has published several articles, but this is her first book.
