About the Author:

Rueben P. Job is a retired United Methodist bishop with a lifelong interest in the spiritual life. He is the author or co-author of numerous articles and 6 books. He and his wife, Beverly, live in the country near Nashville, Tennessee.
Marjorie J. Thompson is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. She serves as director of the Pathways Center for Spiritual Leadership and as spiritual director to Companions in Christ, a program outgrowth of the Pathways initiative of Upper Room Ministries. Companions in Christ is a small group resource for spiritual formation in local congregations, suited to ecumenical use. Marjorie has written articles for two of the sequel resources in the Companions Series on forgiveness and the Beatitudes. She is also author of Family: The Forming Center and Soul Feast: An Invitation to the Christian Spiritual Life. Marjorie has exercised a ministry of teaching, writing, and spiritual guidance for many years. Wendy M. Wright holds the John F. Kenefick Chair in the Humanities at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She is widely known for her writings and presentations on the history of Christian spirituality, family spirituality, and womens spirituality. Among her numerous publications are the recent books, Sacred Heart: Gateway to God and the new edition of Bond of Perfection: Jeanne de Chantal and François de Sales. Wendys article, ""Little Things: A Meditation in Three Parts,"" appeared in the January/February 2003 issue of Weavings. She and her husband, Roger Bergman, are the parents of 3 young adults.
