About the Author:
Jesse Florea has covered high school sports for daily and weekly newspapers for 24 years. During that time he has written numerous stories on Div. I and future professional athletes. As editor of Focus on the Family Clubhouse magazine and associate editor of Breakaway magazine for the past 16 years, Jesse has interviewed and written stories on Kurt Warner, Dwight Howard, John Smoltz, Mark Brunell, Hunter Smith, David Robinson, Darrell Green, Reggie White, and numerous other professional athletes. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in communications from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. Additionally, Jesse has written or co-written seven books, including Adventures of Average Boy: Growing Up Super Average and The One-Year Devos for Sports Fans. He lives with his wife, Stephanie, and two teenagers, Nate and Amber, in Colorado Springs.
