From the Back Cover:
In Sefer HaIkkarim, it is written, "Were I to know [G-d], I would be [G-d]." For G-d's infinity cannot be perceived by mortals. Rabbi Shalom DovBer would say: "When I study Chassidic thought, I gain knowledge of G-d and an active experience of the spark of G-d within me." VeYadaata, a classic discourse, focuses on the verse: "And you shall know today and take it unto your heart, that G-d is the L-rd..., there is nothing else," highlighting the mystical significance of the two names for G-d used in the verse. The discourse probes into the nature of the unity between G-d and our material world and stirs its readers to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects this oneness.
