Instead of mere memorization of facts about the states, these reproducible activities help involve students in finding information for themselves, interacting with others, and evaluating what they learn. Organized into three sections, the book includes charts, graphs, and worksheets for doing research; 196 activities designed for studying any state; and information and activity packets specific to each state. Teaching guidelines show how to use the material for studying one state, a region, or all states. Grades 5-10. JWW229.
