Moore's detailed, full-color drawings include such exotic locales as a lush jungle, a medieval castle, and the gangplank of a pirate ship. The amusing illustrations in muted, dreamy shades spill out over the pages, reflecting the free associations of the text. Although the formula is familiar, the message is reassuring and could be used to prepare children for times when a parent is away from home.
