Metamorphoses opened on Broadway on March 4th, 2002. It has already sold 1,000 copies (as of 03/13/02). Zimmerman is well known in the Chicagoland area, due to her close association with the Lookingglass Theatre and Northwestern University. The book will be sold throughout the country, following the movement of the production. Metamorphoses' literature-into-drama approach gives the book a dual role in the marketplace, both as literature and as a script for performance. This is the first version of the play to appear in printed form.
