Daniel Boorstin's Copy of the American Image of Russia, 1775-1917, with 37 line drawings, edited and with an introduction and comments by Eugene Anschel. The 6 by 9 inch hardcover book is 259 pages and in good condition. The orange cloth boards have some very light rubbing to the foot and crown of spine, but is overall clean and with sharp edges. The inside text pages are clean and without markings and the binding is square and tight. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the spine and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the title page, dated 1976. The dust jacket is tucked inside and has only a few creases. This is Daniel Boorstin's copy, with bookplate present inside. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history.
